Our National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP) gives people currently working in other sectors the chance to train and earn experience as a Teaching Assistant. They receive free online training in areas such as safeguarding, behaviour management, and working in SEND. Following their successful training, they have a series of placements in schools to earn valuable classroom experience.
Our Cover Supervisor Programme has been designed in collaboration with the North East Partnership SCITT and aims to give people the skills, training, and experience to become a Cover Supervisor. They complete 3 modules covering a range of topics including, safeguarding, inclusion, lesson structure, and business management systems.
We offer an extensive programme of free online, and classroom based CPD training courses to all our teaching and support staff, to help with their career development and ensure they stay at the forefront of education developments.
Our tutoring and mentoring service is designed for students who are unable to access education and pupils who require extra support. We work with virtual schools, SEND teams, mainstream schools and alternative provisions across the country, providing specialist staff to assist young people who are not in school, require additional help with learning, or need extra support with school readiness transitions.
